The Reading Date

What a great debut! I loved this book. This book had me thoroughly engaged- it has a great mystery, romance, and rich characters. The Dark Divine is Bree Despain's debut novel about Grace, the pastor's daughter. The mysterious Daniel has returned to town after a three year absence, and turns up in Grace's art class. We learn more about Daniel's story in flashbacks weaved into the story. There is a mysterious string of attacks in the town that leaves you guessing who/what is behind them. I liked the mix of drama, mystery and romance, and the pacing of the story. I was hooked from beginning to end. I went to the author's website and saw she is working on a sequel. Great- I want more! If you enjoyed Shiver, I think you will love this book.
